Founding of firstcolo GmbH
Foundation of firstcolo GmbH (merger of Accelerated IT Services GmbH and “First Colo” Gmbh). Fusion and further development of the services offered.
Development into an International Carrier
Through the expansion of the network infrastructure with strategic partnerships, firstcolo rapidly develops into an international carrier.
The first own datacenter
Start of construction of a highly available data center “AOC” in Frankfurt am Main. Opening of our own data center in Kruppstraße (Frankfurt am Main).
Winner of Deloitte Fast 50 Awards
firstcolo is recognized for its rapid growth and innovative strength. These recognitions underline firstcolo's leading role in the IT industry and its ability to successfully assert itself in a highly competitive market.
Again winner of Deloitte Fast 50 Awards
In 2014, firstcolo again receives the "Fast 50 Awards" from Deloitte, particularly due to the doubling of data center capacity. This expansion allows for further expansion of the offering and the ability to provide even more customers with highly available IT solutions.
Capacity Expansion and Deloitte Fast 500 Awards
At the AOC location, the capacity of the power infrastructure is being expanded. In this year, the data center service provider firstcolo is the prize winner of the Deloitte “Fast 500” (EMEA) Awards.
New Partners and Deloitte Fast 50 Awards Winner
Merger with five e-business service providers for digital value creation to form diva-e. Cooperation partnership with Proxmox. firstcolo is once again the prize winner of the Deloitte “Fast 50” Awards.
TÜV Certification and Merger
firstcolo receives certification from TÜV Rheinland according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard. First Colo GmbH merges with Accelerated IT Services & Consulting GmbH under the parent company diva-e.
Certification as a Level 3 Data Center
The firstcolo data centers in Frankfurt am Main are certified by TÜV Süd as "Level 3 Data Centers".
Capacities are Expanded
The data center service provider firstcolo expands the capacity of its backbone to 1,000 Gbit/s. The construction and productive commissioning of the firstcolo OpenStack cluster are implemented.
Company Name Change and PoP Location in Munich
In 2020, the company was renamed diva-e Datacenters GmbH. The first PoP (Point of Presence) is being built in Munich.
Certifications and Capacity Expansion
The data center service provider records the recertification according to ISO 27001:2013 and the certification according to ISO 9001 of both data center locations in Frankfurt. The capacity of the firstcolo backbone is expanded to 1,500 Gbit/s. Construction of the redundancy location in Zurich and a PoP in Frankfurt.
New Data Center in Frankfurt, Investor Cube Joins
The new R3 data center at the Hanauer Landstraße location is opened. The data center capacities are being expanded at the Werkhaus location. Acquisition by infrastructure investor Cube Infrastructure Managers (“Cube”) and renaming to firstcolo GmbH.
Our Main Location: Frankfurt am Main
We operate the majority of our infrastructure in our own data centers in Frankfurt am Main: They are certified by TÜV Saarland as highly available Level 3 data centers. This ensures high-quality operation of the server systems housed there, which are used by our customers in the form of colocation or as dedicated rental servers.
